Jonesboro Industrial Deal Signed In China

Hefei China-- Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was in China on November 3, 2017, to sign a memorandum of understanding that will create 130 jobs in Jonesboro.  Hefei Risever, a steel fabrication company based in China, will place its first American facility in Jonesboro.  The company currently has three locations in China.  Governor Hutchinson was in Jonesboro on October 25, 2017, to make the official announcement about the company's $20.5 million investment in Jonesboro.  Yonggang Lai, the General Manager for Risever, says the company plans to be in operation in Jonesboro by the second quarter of 2019. In a news conference via webcam from China last week, Governor Hutchinson said one of the reasons Jonesboro was chosen from an original list of 70 cities was because "Jonesboro has such a great workforce for their industry."
