The Workforce Development Committee of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce supports three major projects that impact our K-12 students, businesses and community by building a talent pipeline of confident, skilled, educated, and volunteer-spirited future employees:

Jr. Leadership
Jonesboro Jr. Leadership

Jonesboro’s Jr. Leadership program is offered to 11th graders and is designed to enhance and develop their spirit of service and leadership, and promote civic engagement and responsibility.  Students are exposed to a wide array of careers, learn communication techniques, and meet with community leaders from business and industry, nonprofit organizations and government agencies

Student Recognition

Beginning in early elementary, our Student Recognition program rewards exemplary behavior to build a foundation of self-awareness and confidence.

Arkansas Scholars

Arkansas Scholars puts business leaders in 8th and 10th grade classrooms to engage students in a discussion about the correlation between education and long term success.  High school seniors who meet the program’s criteria are honored with a reception upon graduation.
